Nephritis is an inflammation of the kidneys which can be caused by a variety of conditions, including infections, autoimmune diseases, and kidney damage. Symptoms of nephritis include swollen ankles and feet, foamy or bloody urine, fatigue, and high blood pressure. In some cases, nephritis can be cured with antibiotics or other medications. However, in more severe cases, nephritis may require dialysis or a kidney transplant.
